Getting Here
We want to make it easy and convenient to reach us from the moment you get off a plane or bus or from when you get in your car, so here’s some tips to make getting here as simple as possible.
On Arrival
Parking
There is lots of onsite parking, so it’s easy to park and check in.
‘Stay, Park & Fly’
Can be arranged for Motel 540 guests for $20 per day (conditions apply). Stay one or more nights and you can leave your car parked and receive free Motel Airport Transfers (see Motel Transfers section below).
Truck & Trailer Parking
Is available for guests staying at Motel 540. Charges apply – please contact our reception team to arrange.
Driving
Coming Into Auckland
If you are coming into Auckland from the Bombay Hills or Harbour Bridge along the Southern Motorway, the Motel 540 Auckland Arrival Map will make getting here as simple as possible.
From Auckland Airport
Reaching Motel 540 takes about 15 minutes from the airport.
Once you’re in your car you can follow our Motel 540 Airport Map, which should make getting to us as easy as possible.
While some rental car companies are located in the airport terminals, a number are located close by. So you may want to
- Download and print a map before you arrive
- Have the rental car company phone number handy so you can call them when you land.
Free Motel Airport Transfer Shuttle
Motel 540 provides a Free Auckland Airport Transfer shuttle. The free shuttle operates on a timetable between 2pm –8pm for arrival pick-ups and 8am – 10am for departures, 7 days a week.
Unfortunately the service cannot be provided unless it is pre-booked so please make sure you request this when completing your booking.
We track all flights the transfer service is booked for. All you need to do is call us on 09 276 2249 or 0064 9 276 2249 when you have reached the public areas and completed baggage and customs clearance. To receive a free transfer, just let us know you would like to be picked up, the number of guests and your flight details when making your booking:

Airport Shuttles
Door to door Airport Shuttles are available from both the international and domestic terminals. There may be a number of drop offs before reaching Motel 540.
Follow airport signage to the shuttle areas and let the driver know how many of you there are and that you would like to go to Motel 540 at 540 Great South Road, Otahuhu.
Services should cost around $30 for an adult and there may be lower fares for children and additional adults.
Taxi
Motel 540 is a 15 minute drive or taxi ride depending on the time of day which should cost around $45 - 55. Just a note that NZ taxis charge by time and distance, so the fare could vary based on the time of day.
When using a taxi service to get to Motel 540, make sure you :
